Ian is a qualified and very experienced social/community worker, with thirty two years of work and study, to add to an appreciation of the social and familial issues impacting on children, young people and families.
From the very start of his social work career he has been involved in assisting young people and adults in crisis; this has included helping people come to terms with the issues that impact on them and their families.
In addition to this he has also been involved in training and facilitating service users groups, and has also planned and carried out training with fellow professionals .
Since 2013 he has been involved in full time training, developing courses and consultancy packages for clients as diverse as foster care companies, educational foundations council children's services and children's homes.
Ian is a member of the Social Pedagogy Professional Association, a Dignity Champion and a member of the Society For Education and Training.
