WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
Social pedagogy is an academic discipline that draws on core theories from various related disciplines, such as education, sociology, psychology and philosophy. Social pedagogic practice is concerned with human beings' learning, well-being and inclusion into society.
Already part of practice in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Camphill in Scotland and many other places, social pedagogy is transforming practice, transforming care and transforming lives. It works because it is centred on the service user and the carer, building relationships that are strong. All of IBSP Training courses are influenced by the principles and values that underpin social pedagogy.
